Autobot is an interactive robotic installation. Pedestrian movements trigger kinetic waves that propagate across its 24 individually motorised mechanical elements. Each element has a reflective disk that can descend one meter, and a system to tilt it in both yaw and pitch. The robotics are comprised largely of automotive components such as wiper motors. Installed at Automotive TAFE, Kwinana in 2008.
